An experiential farm, a working model for how once a degenerated farmland can become a regeneration hub in the arid desert of India.

 

Located on the outskirts of Jodhpur, it produces more than 80 varieties of nutritious crops – a gamut of exotic and native herbs, fruits, vegetables – using modern agricultural practices of crop management in consonance with traditional techniques of pest management.

 

The blip of green in the otherwise brown desert is the outcome of decades of toil, seeking to evoke a connection with Earth & Nature. Held together by its women-dominated skillful team of farmers from the local community, MharoKhet takes one away from the clutter of urban spaces into the simplicity of a farm in rural India.
